Love-shy (love-shy.com / love-shy.net in later talk) is an older English board for people who described themselves as unable to initiate romance — closer to the 2000s “love-shy” self-help frame than to 2010s blackpill. The Guardian (2014) counted a few thousand members when covering PUAHate after Isla Vista.[1] Scene memory sometimes calls Love-shy the birthplace of incel talk and PUAHate the place it got teeth. It is not a looksmaxxing surgery forum. It is on this map because the later PSL boards did not appear from nowhere.
Alana’s Involuntary Celibacy Project (1990s) is earlier still and is not this site.
