The masseter is the thick muscle at the back of the cheek that closes the jaw.[1] Hypertrophy makes the lower face look wider at the gonial angle; atrophy or neuromodulator (“jaw Botox”) can slim that width. Looksmaxxing talks about masseter as a bigonial width knob.
Clench, gum, and hard food load the muscle. A square jaw on camera is often masseter plus fat plus bone, not bone alone. Slimming injections are medicine with a bite-force tradeoff; they are not a custom jawline implant.
