Zygomatic bone
Field Anatomy
Also known as zygoma, malar, cheekbone

The zygomatic bone is the cheekbone. It makes the highlight, a chunk of bizygomatic width, the lateral orbit wall, and the front of the zygomatic arch. Looksmaxxing “zygomatics” usually means how far the malar eminence sticks out and whether fat is covering it.

Cheekbones is the aesthetic lemma; this page is the bone.

What it is not

Mastication does not grow a zygoma in adults. “Zygosmashing” is the same injury class as bonesmashing. Implants (malar, infraorbital-malar) are CAD/surgery. Korea often reduces zygomas; Western looksmaxxing more often wants them forward. Same bone, opposite wish. See ID Hospital.
