The ramus is the vertical rear of the mandible, from the angle up to the condyle.[1] Ramus height is a looksmaxxing side-profile flex: a tall ramus helps a low-set ear-to-jaw sweep. Short ramus, steep mandibular plane, and an obtuse gonial angle often travel together. You do not grow a ramus with gum. Distraction and osteotomy are surgery.
