Sean Richard O'Pry (born 5 July 1989) is an American fashion model. Fashion press ranked him among the most successful and best-paid male models of the late 2000s and 2010s; Vogue put him fifth on a 2015 “Top 10 Male Models of All Time” list, and Forbes named him the world’s best-paid male model in 2013.[1]
Looksmaxxing boards treat that face as a holy grail — a PSL god pin-up next to Francisco Lachowski and Jordan Barrett, not as a Kick streamer. He is in this encyclopedia because the scene worships the photographs. He is not a looksmaxxing coach. He has said the veneration is not acceptable to him as a person.[1]
Early life
O’Pry was born in Kennesaw, Georgia. He has described Irish and unspecified Native American heritage, and has an older brother and a younger sister. He attended North Cobb High School and played track, basketball, baseball, and football.[1]
Career
At 17, in 2006, he was scouted from prom photos on MySpace. Campaigns and editorials followed for Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, H&M, Zara, Marc Jacobs, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Gap, and others. Runway: opening Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Salvatore Ferragamo; closing Moschino, Trussardi, Zegna; both for Balmain; also Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Michael Kors, Hermès.[1]
In 2011 he was the face of Viktor & Rolf’s Spicebomb. Music videos: Madonna’s “Girl Gone Wild” (2012) and Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” (2014), as the love interest. He appeared on HBO’s Veep (2016) and later took acting work including Prime Video’s Rose Hill (announced 2026).[2]
Forbes ranked him eighth among male models in 2008 and first in 2009. Models.com had him as the most successful male model on its Top 50 by 2013–2014, and on its 2015 Supers / Sexiest / Money lists.[1] Fashion copy still sells the same inventory the forums later named as metrics: blue “cat-shaped” eyes, high cheekbones, pale skin, dark hair, lean athletic frame.[3]
In looksmaxxing
English Wikipedia added a “Looksmaxxing idol” section: from early 2024, O’Pry and other male models surged again because young men on looksmaxxing boards venerated the aesthetics and the ability to mog.[1] The BBC’s 2024 feature named him with Barrett and Lachowski as visual inspirations; creators copy the poses and the “sigma face.”[4] Ynet (2026) called him a “model for the looksmaxxing beauty ideal” alongside those two: sharp jaw, smooth skin, lean muscle, thick hair.[5] Academic writeups of PSL slang put him in the “God” tier with Gandy and Lachowski.[6]
On the boards that is the grail: hunter eyes, compact midface, high zygos, coloring. Harmony-YouTube nitpicks (jaw angles, etc.) exist; they do not move the cult. This wiki does not issue a PSL number for him. Looksmatch talk that uses his face as the ceiling is scene arithmetic, not a ranking we endorse.
O’Pry, on a 2024 podcast, rejected the hierarchy: he has never walked into a room thinking he was better than someone because of an aesthetic.[1] Record both the worship and the refusal.
