In ordinary sociology, hypergamy is marrying or pairing into a higher status group. Looksmaxxing boards use it as a law: women date “up” in looks (and money), so a man must raise sexual market value or accept a worse looksmatch. Hexumlite said he was “trying to beat hypergamy” on a 2026 Miami Beach clip.
