David Laid (born 29 January 1998) is an Estonian-American fitness influencer, YouTuber, and fitness model. He is not a Kick looksmaxxing streamer in the Clavicular sense. 2026 ranking boards (AuraRanker) still file him under "Looksmaxxer" because his teenage transformation videos are the template the later scene copied: skinny kid → weights → aesthetic physique on camera.

Life and career
Laid was born in Estonia; his mother Nino had immigrated from Russia. After his father died (fell from a docked cruise ship) when Laid was two, they moved to the United States. He started lifting at 14. First YouTube transformation (18 months) went up December 2013; a second (ages 14–17), August 2015, became the famous one (tens of millions of views). Gymshark named him creative director of lifting in 2023. Wikipedia (Sep 2026): ~2.3 million YouTube subscribers, ~5.9 million Instagram.
Around 2019 he was associated as a trainee of coach Elliott Atwell, later sentenced (2025) to 20 years in federal prison for sexual exploitation of underage training clients. That is in the Wikipedia biography; it is not a looksmaxxing method.

Looksmaxxing boards treat Laid as proto-softmaxxing / gymmaxxing: visible transformation, no hammer, no Kick clip farm. AuraRanker had him #2 on its looksmaxxer board (Sep 2026 snapshot) above Clavicular. That ranking is votes, not a diagnosis.
