Mono threads are smooth filaments (usually PDO) placed as a mesh for skin quality and a little tightening. No barbs, no real hitch. “100 threads in the face” Instagram is this. Fine for crepey skin; a lie if sold as a facelift. Twisted monos become screw threads.
