Facial fat is not one layer.[1] The face has named compartments (malar, nasolabial, jowl, buccal, periorbital, submental). Looksmaxxing wants bone to show: that is mostly losing the superficial and submental fat and keeping enough deep support so the lids and cheeks do not go cadaver.
- Malar fat pad — the apple of the cheek; descent with age.
- Buccal fat — deep; buccal fat removal is surgery and can hollow you at 35.
- Periorbital pads — bags vs tear trough.
- Submental — double chin; neck / body fat.
A 10% body-fat face and a 20% body-fat face are different skulls on camera. “Starvemaxxing” past that is a health page, not a protocol. See body fat.
