Also known as fat pads, malar fat, buccal fat, facial fat compartments

Facial fat is not one layer. The face has named compartments (malar, nasolabial, jowl, buccal, periorbital, submental). Looksmaxxing wants bone to show: that is mostly losing the superficial and submental fat and keeping enough deep support so the lids and cheeks do not go cadaver.

  • Malar fat pad — the apple of the cheek; descent with age.
  • Buccal fat — deep; buccal fat removal is surgery and can hollow you at 35.
  • Periorbital pads — bags vs tear trough.
  • Submental — double chin; neck / body fat.

A 10% body-fat face and a 20% body-fat face are different skulls on camera. “Starvemaxxing” past that is a health page, not a protocol. See body fat.
