Hyaluronic acid filler is cross-linked HA gel.[1] It is the default facial syringe: reversible with hyaluronidase, tunable G′ (stiffness) by product. Restylane, Juvéderm, Teosyal, Stylage, and a hundred Turkey-kit clones are this family. High G′ for chin/jaw; low G′ / more cohesive for lips and some troughs.
The practical upside is reversibility with hyaluronidase. The downside is that reversibility is unused after a vascular occlusion, or never used on a jaw shelf the patient later dislikes.

Default gel when volume is the job and undo matters. Not the first tool for descent (see nasolabial fold). Stiff HA on a jaw is a preview, not a custom jawline implant.
