Minoxidil is a vasodilator used on the scalp (and off-label on the face) to thicken hair.[1] It is a real drug with a real dropout problem: you use it or you lose the gain. This page is a definition. Dosing, shedding phases, and whether to combine with finasteride belong with a clinician, not a forum stack.
Looksmaxxing slang "minox beard" is the facial-hair use. Results vary. Irritation is common.
With finasteride
It does not replace a DHT blocker. Shedding on start is in the ordinary course. See a clinician. See finasteride and norwood scale.
