Hair drape (barbers: how the hair falls) is the softmax most men skip while arguing zygomas.[1] The same skull photographs as a different PSL with a different fall. This page is terms of art, not a salon.

Mass and shape

  • Triangle hair — inverted-triangle bulk: wide at the temples/corners, point toward the crown; often a middle part plus length. Can hide a high hairline or a wide forehead; can also look like a wig if the corners are empty (Norwood).
  • Flow / bro flow — length on top that moves as a sheet; needs density.
  • Curtain bangs / curtains — two panels from a middle part; 2020s default.
  • 90-degree — hair standing off the scalp (product + cut), not plastered.
  • Weight — leftover length at the perimeter; “leave weight in the corners” is how you don’t skin-fade a round head into a ball.
  • Connection — blend from top to sides; a disconnected crop is a choice, a botched blend is a hole.
  • Graduation / layering — internal removal so the fall isn’t a helmet.

Line and sides

  • Taper vs fade (low / mid / high / burst / drop / temple / skin)
  • Hard part vs soft part
  • Fringe / bangs vs hair off the forehead
  • Quiff, pompadour, textured crop, French crop, wolf cut, mullet, slick back

Face interaction

A round face usually wants height and corners, not a skin fade that exposes the full cranial sphere. A long midface often wants hair off the forehead (adds upper-third) and weight at the jaw (beard), not curtains that add another vertical panel. A receding temple does not want a middle part that opens the M.

This wiki's view

Get the haircut before a device. Same light as last month.
